LONGVIEW — The Tigers led from start to finish tonight in their Region II-AAA Area Round playoff game as they defeated the Arp Tigers from District 15-AAA by a score of 63-54.
Reggie Jeter led the way for the Tigers knocking down 19 points on the night as a host of Tigers got into double digits for the night. Tim Broner had 16 and brother Timmyon Broner had 12. Mikal Reeves, in his first start from an injury several weeks ago, chipped in with 9, Keilyn McCain 4, Jahmai Johnson 2, and Keith Bryson with 1 rounded out the scoring for the Tigers.
The Tigers controlled the boards outrebounding Arp 53-33. Johnson led the Tigers with 9 followed by Tim Broner with 8, Jeter and Kieston Rushing with 6 each.
The Tigers led at the break 34-30 and their biggest lead of the night came in the 3rd quarter going up 46-34 and they led by 10 at the end of the quarter. Arp got to within three points in the 4th quarter trailing 54-51 but the Tigers were able to ice the game on a pair of Keilyn McCain layups and free throws by Timmyon Broner to get the victory by a final score of 63-54.

The Tigers will meet Mt. Pleasant Chapel Hill in the next round. The time and site is yet to be determined and Daingerfield Athletics will update that information as soon as it becomes available.
