Tigers News · Jr High Boys and Girls Sweep White Oak In Basketball Action


The 7th and 8th grade Daingerfield boys hosted White Oak, while the girls traveled to White Oak.

7th Grade Boys

Tigers –  10   12   12   11   –  45

Necks –    6    10     7   10    –  33

8th Grade Boys

Tigers –   10   13   6   8   –  37

Necks –    4     2   8   9   –  23

7th & 8th Combined B Team won 18 – 2

Kaziah Anderson led all scorers with 8 points

Mahogany Anderson and Jessalyn Biles added 4 points each

Maggi Runk chipped in another 2 points to round out the scoring for the Lady Tigers

Kaziah Anderson also had 12 rebounds

Maggi Runk had 15 steals and 5 rebounds

Lily Broughton had 8 rebounds and 3 steals

The other team members were Adrianna Reed, Monravy Soeung, Angel White, Madeline Contreras, Lyzi Cruz, Kate Kachnik, and Litzy Flores.  ALL of these young ladies are improving each week and it was a TOTAL team effort with the entire team playing GREAT defense.

Next the 7A team 29 – 17. 

Khloe Stroman had 4 points, 8 steals

Valerie Mendoza had 2 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals

Katie Arriaga had 7 points, 4 steals, 4 rebounds

Zykela Neal had 2 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals

Makayla DeLeon had 5 steals, 2 assists

Seriyah Garrett had 4 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals

KeeLee Stephens had 4 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals

Virgil Castro had 2 points, 2 steals, 3 rebounds

Ashby Croswell had 4 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals

Lastly the 8A team won 34 – 24.

Don’taviue Brown had 2 points, 6 steals, 4 assists, 5 rebounds

Ashlyn Smith had 3 steals, 2 rebounds

Delaney Rawls had 2 points, 3 rebounds

Sara Hughes had 2 points, 8 steals, 4 rebounds(only played 2 1/2 quarters due to injury)

Makylie Harrison had 2 points, 6 steals, 4 rebounds, 3 assists

La’Nyecia Lewis had 4 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 assists

Kamryn Lee had 3 rebounds, 2 steals

Malaysia Wallace had 3 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals

Kaziah Lee had 8 points, 12 rebounds, 2 steals

 

Great job to our Jr High Boys and Girls.  The Boys will travel to Ore City next Thursday and the Girls will be at home to face Ore City.  If you aren’t busy, please consider coming out to support these young men and women.
